About the Luminary Group

Why We Exist

We believe everyone deserves to be truly understood. Over the years, we've witnessed a significant gap in services for adults with autism and other forms of neurodivergence, especially as they leave school and much of their support falls away. Too many individuals and families are left feeling lost, unsure where to turn next.

At The Luminary Group we're passionate about bridging that gap by supporting individuals and families directly, and training clinicians to better serve this population as they grow into adulthood and beyond.

What We Do

Care, guidance, and training rooted in real understanding.

For Individuals and Families

Therapy for adults with autism and other forms of neurodivergence, along with guidance for the families and support persons helping them master adulthood.

For Clinicians & Organizations

Evidence-informed trainings, customized team training, and a clinician community (coming soon) to help professionals feel more prepared and confident supporting adults with autism and other forms of neurodivergence.

Our Approach

Understanding comes first. We take time to get to know the whole person: their strengths, experiences, and what matters most to them.

Every person has a voice worth trusting. We help individuals build confidence in their own instincts, make their own choices, and advocate for what they need.

Growth happens in context. We consider the relationships, routines, and support systems that shape each person's life, and work with them, not around them.

Hard moments don't change the goal. Challenges are part of the process. We face them together, and always return to building independence and agency.

Disability-affirming, always. We see disability as a natural part of who someone is, and honor it as part of their identity and experience.

Kristen Hamilton, LPC, LMHC, CRC

Founder & Clinical Director

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor in Virginia, and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. My path to this work has been shaped by years spent providing mental health support and rehabilitative services to young adults and adults with autism and other forms of neurodivergence, helping them build independence, find their voice, and step into work and life after school.

Along the way, I've walked alongside many families through that transition, and I've seen how often both individuals and the people who support them are left without clear guidance. I founded The Luminary Group to help change that: by offering care that starts with understanding, guiding families through the next chapter, and training clinicians to better serve this population.

I believe therapy works best as a genuine partnership, one built on trust, respect, and really being seen. My goal is to help each person grow into the life they want, at a pace and in a way that truly works for them.

Whether you're looking for support or looking to learn, we're glad you're here.
